| This page is obviously inspired by the infamous “Cornhusker Kickback” from the recent Washington Health Regulation charade. While this nasty little episode made the news, no news source I saw felt it necessary to mention bribes for votes is, and had been, standard operational procedure in Congress for obtaining consent to pass legislation in Washington since the founding of the Republic. Early on such procedure was known as horse trading. More recently, as few Americans these days have a clear understanding of what is a horse, such dealing is called compromise. Compromise is understood to be the second highest virtue to which a person in Congress may aspire. The highest is, of course, unquestioning and unswerving devotion to the agenda of the god king in the White House. Also in the news this past week was a comment by Florida representative Alcee Hastings who confessed, while drunk from the success of the administration’s successful campaign to transform Americans from citizens into subjects of a degenerate totalitarian regime, “We just make up the rules as we go along, we can do anything we wish.” This was a rare moment of candor from the enemy who mostly prefer lies for the purpose of concealing their dictatorial agenda. One should safely infer from this rare and disturbing display of honesty our overlords in Washington have concluded their absolute power over us is so entrenched there is no longer any need to hide what they are actually about. They have so consolidated their power they no longer have any fear they could be overthrown by an aroused citizenry. Odds are, they are correct. The smart money says this once great nation that was mankind’s last best hope has been converted to just another dictatorial rule of elite power lords over a rotting sewer and there is no going back. Another administration hack confirmed “representative” Hastings when he said it takes a long time to craft legislation to control the people. That is, of course, what Health Regulation is all about. Health has got nothing to do with it. It’s all about regulation and control, all about converting Americans into appliances for the use and arbitrary disposal of our unchallenged rulers. As I said, this grab for power is not new. The grasp for ever increasing power of the government over the people has been in process well over two hundred years. It took a giant leap forward when Abraham Lincoln wielded powers he did not have to wage war against half of the citizens of this nation. The publicized excuse for war was freedom for the slaves. But, by Lincoln’s own admission, slavery had nothing to do with it. The war was all about controlling the people. Like the rulers today, Lincoln had no constitutional authority as justification for his acts. He was just making up the rules as he went along, believing he could do anything he wished. The health regulation procedure is not a new development. It is just another step in the government’s unending quest for more power As with Lincoln and a war that had nothing to do with the freeing of slaves and the health regulations that have nothing to do with health, every action the tyrants in Washington have taken since the government came to be has been in the interest of acquiring ever more power and controlling the people Government is not a fire that must be restricted to the fireplace. Government is a cancer that can never be contained and, like cancer, it must be cut out or it will inevitably destroy the host, every damn time! May the sun always shine on your parade!
