The “wolf boy” escapee, along with the other children in the Tandra Universe who are exploited by depraved adults for military and terrorist ends, is inspired by almost identical activities in our time on Earth. The only difference in those who exploit children on Tandra and those who do the same on Earth is the minor and inconsequential details of the procedure involved. There is no ethical difference in those on Earth who put a weapon in a child’s hand and send him out to kill and be killed in pursuit of a political agenda as defined by an amoral ideology and a disciple of Kaliste on Tandra who uses drugs and acid to create of children an army of monsters for the purpose of advancing their own totalitarian lusts.

No matter where they are found, those who crave power are not in the least reluctant to use anyone from children to the mentally disadvantaged as cannon fodder in their quest to attain their dreams of absolute rule over their fellow man. Those who give tyrants the benefit of the doubt by insisting their motivation is the well being of those they would rule had best remember the only consideration of those who lust for power is power itself. There is no crime a politician will not commit and no obscenity he will not embrace in the drive to increase his power. The corpses he must climb over, the rivers of blood he must wade are only collateral on his path to absolute rule.
