Those of you who have not E-mailed your best guess as to why Galon does not see the god/goddess Kaliste have until Friday next to submit your answers to this perplexing problem. Big hint; the answer is not, as a Tandra Member from Kansas suggested, because Galon needs glasses really, really bad! Thanks to John for that suggestion. His E-mail inspired from me the best laugh I have had this week.

There may be some among you who are a bit concerned that Tempest would express a sexual interest in the underage “wolf boy” Resan. Be assured that, while such overt interest in an underage youth by a woman who is his senior by some eighty plus years would certainly be viewed with alarm by certain people from the more traditional segments of our society, Tandra moral codes are not the same as are those on Earth. On the other hand, neither is Kilthane’s response to his daughter’s sexual adventures the norm for many of our society’s tradition oriented fathers.

One should keep in mind, while there are similarities in both social cultures, Tandra is not Earth nor is the view-with-alarm response to May/November match ups evenly scattered about on our own world. Old men taking underage girls as their sex partners is an established and respected procedure in many Muslim cultures as it is in Hollywood. Why should the reverse cause outrage and concern among those who apparently have no problem with old men taking underage girls for use as sex toys?

The same considerations were used in creating Delta (who as Tempest’s aunt). I noticed a standard male fantasy is the sultan who has a stable of wives for his pleasure and thought why could the sexual arrangement not be reversed. Thus Delta is a female who has a stable of males for her pleasure. By comparison, Tempest is a woman who has said she is over one hundred years of age. If it is acceptable for doddering old Arabs to use underage girls for their pleasure, there should be no problem if Tempest invites a young boy to her bed.

For the inquisitive mind, it appears Tempest is very well preserved for a woman well past the century mark. Be assured, you do not yet know all there is to learn about Tempest.

May the sun always shine on your parade!

Next Week; “Standing Alone”

Tandra...more than escapist fantasy, it’s a revolution!
